Christmas time is finally here! It feels as though we all wait the entire year for Christmas to arrive, to spoil all those around us (not to mention ourselves).
December has seen the launch of our gorgeous Christmas 2019 range. This includes the key ingredient to any festive abode: a wreath. This year we have two gorgeous styles to offer. The first is as traditional as it gets, our Christmas Wreath is a wondrous circle of Irish pine decked out with eucalyptus, birch, berries and dried fruit to give it that lovely decadent and luxurious feel. The whole thing is topped off with a classic red ribbon like a gorgeous Christmas gift.
Our second wreath option is for those who are a little less traditional and maybe a tad more wild: our Woodland Wreath is also made from a glorious wheel of Irish pine with layers of green, foresty textures, blue thistle, topped with elegant black and green ribbons. An exciting option for someone who prefers to be unique and untamed.
Also available is our Cosy Gang, an old time classic and a firm favourite with all our loyal customers. A white pillar candle surrounded by Irish winter foliage, pine, berries, fruit and cinnamon, the perfect addition to add some joy to any room. The Cosy Gang can be used as a festive table centre, for all the family to sit around, to be the centre of festivities, or sit on the mantelpiece waiting for Santa Claus to come down the chimney.
We have also created beautiful winter and festive-inspired versions of our year-round creations: a Festive Tray of Blooms and the Winter Appassionata Bouquet. Each is filled with red roses, thistle, berries, and a smattering of festive foliage and flowers in red and purple hues. The perfect gift for any lover of blooms (even if this person is yourself).
Of course, this year has been a huge anniversary for Appassionata. After fifteen years in the business, we have created our first book, Bláthanna, brought to you by the creative team behind the company. Each page is filled with floral inspirations from installations and photoshoots of some of Appassionata’s most iconic work. Locations include historical buildings such as Kings Inn, The Museum Building at Trinity College and The Royal Hibernian Academy. But there also glimpses into the landscape that so much inspires Appassionata’s work, with some wild and whimsical pieces shot at Huntington in Carlow, Glendalough, and Huntington Brook, both in County Wicklow. With this book, we invite the reader to come on a journey with us that was truly years in the making. We tell a story not just of flowers, but of our journey as a team and happy together.
To you and yours, Happy Christmas from the Appassionata Team X
